I'm the co-founder of RookieUp, a mentorship platform for designers and developers.
RookieUp is an on-demand mentorship platform that pairs aspiring creatives and web developers with professional mentors to help them build amazing portfolios and launch their careers.
RookieUp is an on-demand mentorship platform for aspiring designers, and we're launching an online bootcamp! The bootcamp will pair students with mentors and they'll work together to develop amazing portfolio projects with the sole focus on helping students build laser-focused portfolios that wow recruiters and help them land their dream jobs. The program will last around 4-6 weeks.
The bootcamp will, at first, be focused specifically on aspiring UX/UI and Visual Designers. We've done a lot of unpaid guest blogging before, but would like to develop a strategy to target people learning design more aggressively across the web. We'll have a small paid marketing budget and are looking for ideas on the best ways to utilize this budget, while also focusing heavily on unpaid marketing efforts (social media, content marketing, other partnerships). An ideal channel is a low-touch partnership with an existing design service or platform that teaches design skills but doesn't focus on mentorship or portfolio building.
