Education is the backbone of any country. As a developing country, it is critical that Malaysians are up to date with global Education policies & trends, and that Malaysians are made aware of on-the-ground issues related to Education.
We need a content strategy that can make Malaysians more engaged and involved in the Education sector whilst tailoring it to suit our culture (we are largely non-confrontational/non-political). We need to make Education as sexy as it can be; and we need Malaysians to feel a sense of responsibility and accountability towards contributing to Education.
We want to start a solid Education content base that can become to go-to blog for English speakers to read. We need articles like "Why Getting As and Bs is not important", heartwarming stories of Malaysian education, comparisons of Malaysian education to global education, features of Malaysians who are inspiring and reaching new heights through education.
Currently, the content we produce is minimal but we've huge market potential.
Malaysia ranks 4th highest global users of Facebook & Instagram - we're well aware of social media & the internet, if not for our copious amounts of selfies & constant daily updates. How we can tap into that potential - get creative, help us figure this out!

Blinc ventures is launching its website for social entrepreneurs in Nepal this April with an objective to provide visibility, information and access to resources to enable entrepreneurs to improve efficiency and scale up their projects. We would like to showcase these entrepreneurs and bring global opportunities of funding, acceleration, incubation programs, and knowledge partnerships to Nepal. The candidate will be responsible for curating a list of these opportunities or organizations offering them, creating presentation dockets and helping secure them. The opportunity is perfect for students who are interested in familiarizing themselves with the exciting world of start ups and would like to deep dive into it.
FPDI's brand Udaan has been able to promote and generate business offline thereby giving income opportunities to many underpriviledged women from urban slum communities. However, we would like to explore online promotion including opening a Facebook store and undertaking Instagram campaigns to make our presence felt and generate new business leads.
Our Instagram account is already up and running, but we're looking to grow our brand presence there! We need to increase our followers and discover the best way to do this.
We want to:
- identify our target audience on Instagram
- learn when people engage with our posts
- understand which posts create the most interactions
After launching successfully 10 months ago, x-hebit is under-going re-design and migrating to a new platform. The next phase is to position x-hebit as the go-to platform for all things to do with sustainable event planning. This will be done via content marketing through social media. The content is already available, it needs to be presented strategically and in a graphically appealing and creative manner. We are planning to use Canva to create graphics, but are open to other design tools as well. Graphics will then be published through social channels such as Instagram, FB, and Twitter.
We're also looking to develop a campaign (hopefully viral) that brings attention to sustainable events (and x-hebit). Candidates should have an interest in graphic design & marketing and be willing to think outside the box! If you have good ideas and want to experiment, come on board :)
